Ref: Testimonial for Professor Dr Narendra Kumar Chopra

1st December 2019

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

It is my pleasure to recommend Dr Narendra Kumar Chopra, who is working together with me as a Clinical Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, SEGi University, Malaysia for admission to PhD Training Program at NYU School of Medicine’s Sackler Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences.

I have known Dr Narendra Kumar Chopra since 2016 when he joined Faculty of Medicine, SEGi University where I had beenworking as an Associate Professor in the Internal Medicine department since 2013.As his colleague, I came to realize that he is a dedicated lecturer with good interpersonal relation. He is well liked by many students and colleagues in the faculty as well as by non-academic colleagues.
Dr Narendra Kumar Chopra has completed postgraduate degree from public M.S university Vadodara (Gujarat) India in 1987, fellowship in “Tropical Medicine” from Institute of Royal Society of Tropical Medicineand Hygiene at London in 1989 and WHO fellowship on Leprosy and Infectious Diseases in countries of Southeast Asia and Africa in 1990.
He has many years of experience in various areas of medicine such as academic, community health services, research, consultation and administration in local as well as international organizations. He received young scientist Melville Christian Memorial award and gold medal at national level in the year 1995. In 2002, he was awarded Rashtriyagaurav award by ministry of health welfare for his outstanding work in the field of infectious diseases in India.

His command over written and spoken English is commendable. He is organized, independent and can take responsibilities. Despite the very busy and tight schedule of our job at the faculty of medicine, he is always trying his best to find time to study for the Board exams and always keep himself up to date with the latest trends of medicine.
He also has interest in doing research and has presented more than 45 papers in National & International conferences in the field of infectious diseases. He also published over 30 articles in peer-reviewed national and international medical journals.
Since I know Dr Narendra Kumar Chopra very well for the past four years as a dedicated and experienced lecturer, I fully recommend him for any teaching position Associate Professor in Internal Medicine admission at your institution. I am confident that he will be an excellent candidate for the program.

Yours sincerely,

Dr Han Ni
